Sounds of Spring

mirthfully she listens to the sounds of spring, as nature echos through opened window panes

birds chirping and singing, some squawking their talk

a gentle breeze rustling between the trees, stirring awakened branches and winter’s stubborn leaves

off in the distance a faint dancing of chimes, creating subtle harmonic waves in rhythm with the wind

such wondrous melodies poetically meld, filling her heart and her soul with comfort and delight

she closes her eyes to absorb nature’s glory, imagining the spring’s air softly kissing her cheek

within the pureness of joy and the essence of contentment, if only for a moment she is fully encased

from her bed where she rests a blissful smile adorns her face, she listens from afar to the fluttering sounds, perfect in every way — the presence of His Grace
