Au revoir 2019

As we close out the year (and decade — what?!), like most human peeps, I’m taking a little time to give pause. The past twelve months seemed to fly by, yet colorful happenings provided ample filler. I’d much prefer to reflect upon “exotic” travel (to see family/friends) and conquering mountains (enjoying time in nature) over reality: health related “adventures” (doctors + treatments + rest + repeat). Many reading this may relate. That shared, what a wonderful blessing it is to be alive and able to look back upon such “flavorful” bumpiness, yes?! (perspective!)

If life were predictable it would cease to be life, and be without flavor.

A quick recap of 2019, in all it’s glory… it’s no longer the present. 365 days have come and gone. The sun has risen. Darkness of night has fallen. And the coming and the going shall continue with each new day. (At least for 10-12 more years, depending upon which climate change expert you believe. I’m an optimist. Let’s go with 12!)

Through my blatherings, I share the good with the not-so-fun along this journey. I suppose all necessary reflection (for me) lies within words already written. With the exception of this significant and worthy mention — my infinite blessings outweigh any and all struggles faced.

And, as I bid this year adieu, I’m trying my best to leave previous bumpiness (with this illness + healing journey — and the grief and sadness and guilt that weighs heavy) where it belongs. In the past. I’m choosing to look forward with an open heart and mind, with a renewed sense of hope.

Feet firmly planted in reality, I’m merely refreshing where my thoughts may wander. Moving out the old. Making room for whatever the new may hold.

So, lovely ones, I shall leave 2019 and the following hopes and wishes with you:

May this new year provide endless opportunities for growth and prosperity. May fear be left behind. May love and joy, kindness and compassion fill our hearts.

Should you find yourself burdened with heartache and loss, may the heaviness and sorrow be lifted. May you feel His comfort, His love, His Grace.

To each and every amazing human traveling a journey through illness and uncertainty — may you be cared for and feel loved. May you find your path toward healing and true wellness. May you live your life to the absolute fullest — less suffering, less pain — more dancing in the rain!

May we have faith, wisdom, hope and strength to help guide us through whatever lies ahead.

Until my next blathering…

Blessings, love, and positive light — always.

Happy New Year!
