Hello friends! It’s been a hot minute since I’ve blathered. Time for a quick update and a little blogging biz.

Some of you reading this post may be loyal subscribers + followers of ColorMeLyme and/or The Blathering Housewife. Others are perhaps newbies. To all — welcome to my new blogging digs!

I shared a teaser on social media recently about a shuffling + website “construction” project happening within my blathering-sphere. To help bring everyone up to speed and fill in any gaps, let me share a pithy-ish “what’s up”.

A little over a year ago I added The Blathering Housewife into my blogging mix, with sincere intentions of interjecting an occasional non-illness + fun-ness vibe. I truly enjoyed playing around with these blathering snippets. Unfortunately, upbeat “fun” thoughts didn’t pop out of my brain as often as hoped. Reality is such that illness + healing + setbacks remain front and center — “temporarily”, even though we’ve been idling in “temporary” status for quite a while. Hoping to re-kickstart this body’s healing process, yet again — soon. (I’m such a constant work in progress! But, aren’t we all.) Will share more on illness + healing + new treatment plans in a future post.

Anywho…

Creativity + free flowing thought can be minimal when feeling poopified. (yep, non-technical medical speak: still an added bonus. You’re welcome!) Spare energy to share even the occasional puff piece has been nonexistent. Simply a minor bump, in blogging and in life! (… and, such a first-world “problem”, yes?!)

To help nudge my creative juices along + lessen the (self-induced) pressure to maintain two separate blogs (… and, because I’m a “very stable genius”… 😂🤣), melding ColorMeLyme and The Blathering Housewife together under one cyber-land roof seemed like the prudent thing to do.

Thus, a new blog baby has been born: Blatherings with Terry — (www.terrymmayfield.com).

(In a non-creepy way) think of Blatherings with Terry (BwT) as the love child of ColorMeLyme and The Blathering Housewife — illness + healing + Lyme disease resources + observational opinions + sassy sarcasm. All things life from the perspective of this blathering-Lymie-housewife. Basically, more of the same with a splash of newness.

BwT is definitely in the infantile stages, with much tweaking to happen over time. That’s part of the fun: creating + tweaking. Unless I overthink + obsessively tweak, which is a slight (okay, probable) possibility! Good news is I’ve got a guy (hubby) who’s got a guy (thanks Brian!) to help with the “heavy lifting”. I blather. I don’t do computer speak.

So kids, it’s now official. ColorMeLyme.net and BlatheringHousewife.com blogs say farewell — only in theory and physical web-land locale. Blatherings with Terry picks up right where both sites left off without skipping a beat, with a new look, flare and flavor. (fingers crossed, added fun-ness too!)

I’m out-of-this-world grateful for continued support and interest in what this sickly-to-sassy chick has to share. Hope you will stay tuned as the blathering adventures continue.
